He was born on 18th April 1976 in a FELDA settlement scheme in Triang , Pahang. He recieved his early education at Sek. Keb. FELDA Chemomoi and Sek. Men. Kebangsaan Chemomoi before continuing his secondary education at MARA Junior Science College in Taiping Perak, enrolled in the Special Programme for the Gifted and Talented.
He received his first degree in archtecture B.A. Arch. (Hons) from the University of Manchester, United Kingdom in 1999 before working for one years as an Architectural Asisstant at Walker Simpson Architects Ltd. there. Due to the Asian economic crisis, as a government sponsored student he was required to return in October 2000 to further his second degree B.Arch. (Hons) at Uitm Shah Alam and obtained his degree in November 2002.
He started his career as an Architect at Arkitek CKL in Kuala Lumpur , from November 2002 until July 2005. He then worked as an Arhitect at SN Low & Associates Sdn. Bhd. in Subang Jaya from August 2005 until January 2006.
He left the construction industry for a while as an Architect to start his teaching career as a full time architectural lecturer at IUCTT, Sri Damansara in April 2006 before moving to UCSI University from July until December 2008. He obtained his Master degree (M. Sc Heritage & Conservation Mgmt.) from Uitm Shah Alam in 2008.
He passed his Professional Practice Examination (LAM PART III) in 2007 and has set up a sole proprietorship firm , Arkitek Mohd Hayazi Agusi in March 2009 . He was a Corporate Member of Pertubuhan Arkitek Malaysia (PAM).
Apart from being active in the architectural field, he is also a part-time lecturer teaching architecture and heritage conservation since January 2009 at several universities such as UiTM Shah Alam, UIAM Gombak, IUCTT Sri Damansara and Taylor’s university Bandar Sunway. To further his knowledge and skills, he is currently pursuing his PhD at Universiti Malaya in the field of Urban Design and Conservation.
